Executive Coordinator
Ashley Sheffield is the Executive Coordinator for IPS Executive Director, Tope Folarin, and Deputy Director, Kathleen Gaspard. She graduated from Louisiana State University with a B.S. in Political Science and minors in International Studies and Women’s, Gender and Sexuality Studies. Additionally, she received her Masters of Public Administration with a concentration in Public Management from the University of Louisiana Monroe. In her previous experience, Ashley served as a campus organizer in both Louisiana and Alabama, coordinating Reproductive Justice and Get Out The Vote campaigns. She proudly describes herself as an intersectional feminist activist who adheres to the slogan, “The personal is political.” Ashley enjoys creating art, playing sports, and studying to become a doula. She loves her home city of New Orleans and encourages everyone to experience Mardi Gras once in their life!
